Trierischer Volksfreund, founded in 1875, is the leading media house for the Trier, Eifel, Mosel and Hunsrueck regions.
Over the past few years, the Trierischer Volksfreund publishing house has moved successfully beyond its core daily newspaper business, developing into a multifunctional service provider. Its areas of activity include:
- The Trierischer Volksfreund daily newspaper with 12 local editions and a sold circulation of about 100,000 copies reaching some 260,000 readers daily;
- Web portal volksfreund.de, which registers 1.5 million visitors per month;
- MACHER, a business magazine for decision makers and readers with a business bent, which is published monthly together with the Trierischer Volksfreund;
- glanzvoll, a lifestyle magazine for people with good taste and a high appreciation of style, which is distributed four times a year to some 20,000 select households within the circulation area of the Trierischer Volksfreund and also in Luxemburg.
- Lifestyle, the region’s leading event magazine, with a circulation of 25,000 copies;
- Newspaper logistics including the delivery of commercial leaflets and regular mail as well as the delivery of mail for commercial customers;
- Call-center, online and advertising services.
Some 340 salaried employees work for the media publisher Trierischer Volksfreund and its subsidiaries.
